My credit's bad, so they can't steal from me... and I don't have any enemies. Still, this is very disturbing!

2. I'm more concerned about Choice Point's little "issue".
They had customer records from Bank of America. BofA holds my mortgage.

It really irks me that they withheld the info, but it sure doesn't surprise me.

5. The faked identity papers would be worth a fortune.
Of course the theft of identity is frightening enough on its own.

4. What gets me is
that these companies should be paying us to store and access our information. Wells Fargo wants to charge me 14 bucks a month to have access to my credit file and do other tasks with my file like correct errors and such. Goes to show you that the little guy gets screwed once again.

7. We "paranoid" types said this would happen -- and it has
Choice point screwed up -- plus they have known about identity theft and never informed the victims.

And these are the thefts are just the ones we know about --
