Stranger Attacks Marquette Student On Street
Suspect Later Arrested

MILWAUKEE -- A 23-year-old Marquette University student is recovering after a stranger hit her in the head with a metal pipe.

Milwaukee police said the woman was walking in front of the bus stop on 16th Street and Wisconsin Avenue just before 10 p.m. Monday night when she was struck from behind.

The 36-year-old suspect told arresting officers he was mad that the government cut off his Social Security and wanted to go back to prison.
