8. The proper apparel under the kilt

is as noted in photo, the birthday suit. The reason being that the kilt binds on fabric and doesn't swing as it should when one marches whilst playing the pipes.

9. I personally know what is worn under the kilt

I made a kilt for my husband a couple of years ago. It took me almost a month to hand sew 6 yards of wool. I did not use a pattern and went with what I could get the fabric to do. I folded and refolded and pinned it on my husband so many times, I would even wake him up in the middle of the nite so I could pin it onto him. He wears it casually and loves it. So anyway since I did not line it he does wear boxers because eventhough the wool is soft it is still a little abrasive. I think every man should try a kilt atleast once!
