1. My 25 mile trip from Hartford took over 3 hours tonight. Ice under snow.

2. It's weird, I work in Bedford, MA and they are known throughout the

area for taking excellent care of their roads in winter. It's funny because you can tell where their borders are by the road conditions :). When you get to the Billerica/Bedford line, there's like a perfect dividing line in the road. On the Bedford side, it's well plowed and well salted. On the Billerica side, there's an inch and a half of sludge on top of ice.

Nasty stuff.

Where did you have to drive to? Radio guys this afternoon were saying that "well, 91 is slow from, oh, New Haven to Massachusetts, and 84 is slow from about New York to east of Hartford..." I only had to drive from Old Lyme to Willimantic, but it took me about 75 minutes, where it usually takes 2/3 that. Glad you arrived safely!
