The Wah-Wah Pedal-Mankind's gift to the universe?
The wah-wah pedal, in the right hands, is mankind's greatest contribution to the universe.

27. OMG I got a music thing right? Wow!
Generator is a very bouncy, throwback kind of thing--and when I hear that talkbox I'm transported back to HS & "Frampton Comes Alive".

6. Gotta go with echo and reverb instead
Although the wah-wah is really cool

P.S. Don't ever use a wah-wah with your hands. ;)

13. distortion pedals are the lame
Its all about the natural overdrive of the amp. Tube based overdrive pedals are ok though

but it is alllllllll about the wah wah

17. Stereo chorus + Stereo ping-pong delay + Reverb == heaven
Make that guitar sound like an orchestra, son. I've been doing it for over a decade, and haven't looked back.

16. Hell yeah it is.
Not just for guitars either. While playing with Miles Davis in the late 60's/early 70's, Chick Corea would sometimes run his electric piano through a wah pedal. He'd make some pretty evil sounds with the thing.

My personal favorite is this album.

Wahs were originally used for organs and then guitarists discovered them.

I say we give them everything in advance. That's a sacrifice I think we should all be willing to make for the sake of peace in our solar system.

20. Whatever it was that Pete Townsend used for "The Relay"
Sounds like a cross between a wah-wah and a talk-box. (I've always heard that riff as though the guitar was saying "pinball, pinball").

23. Pete used an envelop filter quite a bit
which is what a wah is but it's in a fixed position instead of using the pedal to manipulate the filter
