Sorry, but I love the Beatles more than anything in the world, really like Monty Python and want to have Gilda Radner's ghost's babies, but I just hated that film.
It all seemed so half-baked and vaguely aggressive toward the fab four. I know Idle has said he wanted to make a Beatles film that didn't end depressing (with them breaking up) but he managed to make a film that removes any trace of boundless joy from the Beatles legacy.
Maybe the pain is neccessary to really feel the joy. But anyway- hate that film.
I will now NOT continue to make this point in fourteen consecutive posts. I now relinquish this thread to the Rutles many fans.
