...that Russian girl sends me an email and asks about what kind of work I do, what and tells me a little stuff about what kinds of romance she likes and says that she would like to meet to discuss it further. She tells me about how her father left her mother and closes the letter with "Your new girlfriend."


Now I smell a rat.

1. It's really a sad statement for a country that the people would stoop

this low to leave - and take that much of a risk as well. She doesn't have any proof that you are who you say either.

4. It means that she is so desperate to leave her country that she is

taking a great risk. She has no proof that you are who you say you are anymore than you have proof that I am who I propose to be. And yet, she is willing to take that chance. That is sad.

2. Whatever it takes to get out of Russia

I guess. Did you happen to see the episode of Viva La Bam on MTV where they hire Chris Raab a mail order bride from Russia? To preface, Chris is a fallen down drunk loser kid with acne, but he does have a vague resemblance to Matt Damon.

Anyway, they dress him up in a white tuxedo, get him drunk and pick up his mail order bride (an attractive 30 something who speaks no english) and make them get a quickie wedding in Vegas.

It was harsh.
