And like Blue-Jay, I'm using the term "funk" loosely.

"Just Be Thankful for What You've Got" William DeVaughn

"The World is a Ghetto" WAR

"Fantasxtic Voyage" Lakeside

And dozens of others the blonde can't think of right now...

"Goodness Sakes (Take a Look at those Cakes)" James Brown

12. I forgot to include some Fela.
"International Thief Thief" or "Expensive Shit" by Fela

"Strawberry Letter 23" is sexy? Huh. Never made that connection.

Maybe becuase the only time I ever had music on while having sex, my wife chose the tunes, and it was Nick Cave (don't ask).

24. The original version by Shuggie Otis is far superior.
The album it was on, "Inspiration Information", is one of the most underappreciated funk classics of all time.

17. "Fight the Power" by the Isley Bros and "Boogie Wonderland" by EW&F
Time is truly wastin'
There's no guarantee
Smile's in the makin'
You gotta fight the powers that be
Got so many forces
Stayin' on the scene
Givin' up all around me
Faces full a' pain
I can't play my music
They say my music's too loud
I kept talkin about it
I got the big run around
When I rolled with the punches
I got knocked on the ground
With all this bullshit going down

Time is truly wastin'
There's no guarantee
Smile's in the makin'
You gotta fight the powers that be
I don't understand it
People wanna see, ya
Those that got the answers
Red tape in the way
I could take you in easy
That's just half the fun, oh boy
Seeking satisfaction
Keeps me on the run
I can't play my music
They say my music's too loud
I kept talkin about it
I got the big run around
When I rolled with the punches
I got knocked on the ground
With all this bullshit going down
Time is truly wastin'
There's no guarantee
Smile's in the makin'
You gotta fight the powers that be

If you & I can - we got the power
Fight it, got the power fight it........baby, baby
Fight it, fight the power....

35. Hi - That was a 80's song from a Danish group called Laid Back
http://www.discomusic.com/records-more/523_0_2_0_M39

When I do a search on my music download engine under "Funkadelic" that song always comes up as Funkadelic being the artist. I also see alot of incorrect song/artist entries like Rick James = Brick House and Grand Funk Railroad = Play That Funky Music. :)
