I had some blood work done last week, and I just got a call to come in and see the doctor for the results...from the doctor himself. He called me himself to come see him this afternoon. I told him I couldn't be there 'til at least 5:30 and he said he'd wait. Fucking fuck.

They wanted me to get a kidney biopsy, and they keep you in the hospital for observation afterwards to be sure you don't bleed from the biopsy site. I should have had my partner post an update, and I promise, next time I will.

I know what you mean, though. I sometimes hate doctors. I had my yearly physical on Valentine's Day and while feeling my ovaries, the doctor said, "Huh..."

Well, I hate shit like that. "Huh what?" I asked. And she tells me that she's found a "mass" in there and wants to have me checked out for ovarian cancer! But "don't worry"!!!

It's NOT on the ovary but we still don't know what it is until it is biopsied. I imagine it's just a benign cyst or something but it's very nerve wracking until you know what's going on. Good vibes your way... :hug:

They kept me in the hospital for observation all night because bleeding after a kidney biopsy is a big concern. I had no idea this many people would even notice my previous post, so I didn't think to have my partner post a follow-up. I'm really touched by everyone's concerns!
