3. Nope - I'm serious.
They use voter registration and driver's licenses. I have never voted in that state and my license expired in 1999 in that state.

23. You do want to get it cleared up - a letter to the court clerk and the
judge should suffice. YOu will have to provide proof of your residency in your present state (geographical, not mind). Go on line and find an affidavit form that you can complete saying who you are and your residence. Attach a copy of your current driver's license and the lease you have for your residence or deed for your home, anything that proves where you live. Attach a copy of your voter's card.

If the arrest stays on your record, you could get stopped for a traffic ticket in your current state and be held because of the outstanding warrant!

I'd call the clerk and clear it up now! :silly:

35. Thank you for your advice. It is well taken.
Fortunately for me, Delaware is a small state (I still work there) and I have worked in the legal field for 20 years. It's not really a matter of ending up in jail or anything, it's just really more of an annoyance. In fact, since I had the docket judge for evidence class in college, I don't think he'd be too quick to throw me into the slammer! :o

for a no seatbelt ticket in N Carolina 3 years earlier. Had to pay the fine. Which started as $50 and was at $250 after additional costs were added on. Then another $50 to remove the "suspension" tag. Then another $50 to re-instate the licence.

53. I won't tell anyone.......here in NY I've gotten several
notices where you have to give them the info so they can put you on jury duty. They usually go with the junk mail in the circular file. I'm and easy find if they really want me....used to be exempt. I would go for local court but they don't want me. I know most of the clients. It was always a hoot doing cases there they would give me the jury list to see who I knew or who knew me before hand. I've had a couple co-workers sucked in and ended up on long civil cases. On my job unless you work days you get screwed because on the other 2 shifts you still have to show up for work. They called my 90 yr old uncle for jury duty and he was sending it in until I reminded him they will not pick him up every day.

I'm waiting for the Sheriff to come get me some day....not.
