John Bolton is an embarassment to our country.
I am not a big fan of the current UN, but Kerry is 100% right about this Captain Kangaroo looking doofus John Bolton.

Bolton hates the UN and is a GOP "Butt Boy" to boot. Why would you send a guy who basically advocatyed the destruction of the UN building to serve as ambassador to the UN. Bolton is another moron elected by an even bigger moron (George Bush) I hope Kerry and the Democrats smack this guy around like a ho during confirmation.

PS. I am not surprised that John McCain would support Bolton. McCain has gone from an independent minded Senator, to a gutless Republican and I will never forgive the way be betrayed John Kerry...I guess McCain values his own career over his friends.

1. That is exactly why he was chosen for the post
It is like they are selecting the lowest most disgusting creatures for these appointments possible.

2. Yes, Bolton is a disgrace but I'm always amazed by the fact that people
expect more from McCain than he delivers. He's always been a hack politician and crook. Look up the Savings and Loan fiasco and see how he tried to cover for Charles Keating. He's got no dignity, he let the bush** clan humiliate his entire family and he just took it like the good little puppet he is.

Okay, flame me for this but I have never understood how being a prisoner of war in Viet Nam is supposed to mean that this guy is something special. It is certainly unfortunate that he spent that time in captivity, but that has nothing to do with his character, or rather lack of.

4. I agree.
I don't think I've ever REALLY trusted him, even when people were hoping he'd turn Independent or Democrat. He's sleeze, but when you say that about a Republican,it's a redundancy, isn't it?

3. Typical Bush leadership once again.
Look around and find the worst person possible. The one that will be the most divisive. A person that hates the UN and will hate his job dealing with other UN ambassadors. Find the person that for any competent President would be beyond consideration, and that's your man!

5. Yes, he is
Not only is he a right-wing extremist, he's an asshole as a human being.

Never thought I'd see the day when he'd get this high up in the State Department.
