6. He's my favorite Monkee!
I'm only 25, so I caught The Monkees in re-runs, but I had such a crush on him. Still do. I was working on this sitcom and this woman would talk about Mickey Dolenz hitting on her and "he's so old!", but I was jealous.

Even at 60, Mickey, I still love ya! (Have any of you seen that movie "Head"? Love it.)

7. It was one of the first DVDs I purchased
It is odd but good. People just did not expect that from the Monkees.

FYI...it was money made off the Monkees that enabled Rafelson and Schneider to finance Easy Rider.

8. They had a room..
On the set of the Monkees they had a little enclosed room that had a light in there for each of them. They would smoke pot and hang out, and then when the light was turned on, they would go out.

That would never, ever happen today.
