just made an appointment for cleaning my teeth
and a week after checkup with the dentist. I HATE dentists. Even though I have no problems whatsoever with my teeth. Alone the noise when they clean your teeth is very annoying.

1. Annoying is an understatement!

I am scared stiff of the dentist and right now (I think it's bec of my illness) TWO of my teeth have broken off. Yeah, I am scared as hell. I have been calling dentists to see who does "nitrous oxide" (laughing gas)..it's the ONLY way to go. Feels like you are in the chair for 10 minutes...no PAIN, NO horrible drilling sound (that along will send me into a tizzy)

Have you tried nitrous oxide (they usually charge $100, but it's worth it?

:hurts:

2. cleaning costs less
Edited on Tue Mar-08-05 05:29 AM by ffm172
about €70. And it is really cleaning in between the teeth, not bleaching the teeth.

Edit: I am feeling with you. I hope you get through the treatment without too much pain.

Referred to in Dead parking lots the world over as "Hippie Crack" :)

5. We're (the whole Grumpy Family) going this evening. I never had a
cavity until I got sick at 29. Now, every visit is a damned ordeal. but it's worth it in the long run. No 2 am toothaches for me. That would be worse. :hi:

6. my mom told me some weeks ago
that she started haveing bad toothaches one evening after eating a snack. And she had to wait till the next morning to get to a dentist because there are not emergency dentists here in Germany. She said she felt like going up the walls because of the pain.

7. That is not any fun. I'd rather have a broken ankle than a toothache.
That's for sure. Good luck at your appt. :hi:

8. thanks
the appt. is in 2 weeks. Next week is the cleaning. I'm not worried but I am not a big fan of the cleaning. But it helps keeping the teeth healthy and that is what counts
Good luck on your appt tonight with the whole family :hi:
