1. Some of them I laughed about.
But I really did like Christopher Cross.
And "In the Air Tonight"-I had a boyfriend who used to play that for me before-you know. Hey, I used to do a lot of drugs so I can be excused.

3. WTF?
"In the Air Tonight"? Before, "you know what"?? The song was written after Phil watched a man drown. It's quite a morbid and sad song, odd that he would use that song. I'd be really freaked out if a girl played that song for me before-you know.

4. He played that for me
and I was doing a lot of shrooms at the time-things get wierd when you date a freak and he feeds you shrooms nonstop.

7. Urban Myth
Saw an interview with Phil about that rumour. I thought the same thing for a long time, though. Good song.
I can't say it is quite mood music though, unless the mood is for exercise or driving.

14. Think about the scene in Risky Business
where they get on the L. The lead-up song is "In the Air Tonight". I had an ex w/ a thing about trains.

9. I had a girlfriend that insisted on "Cruisin'"
Baby let's cruise, away from here
Don't be confused, the way is clear
& if you want it you got it forever
This is not a one night stand, baby, yeah so

Let the music take your mind, ooh
Just release & you will find
You're gonna fly away
Glad you're goin' my way
I love it when we're cruisin' together
The music is played for love,
Cruisin' is made for love
I love it when we're cruisin' together

Baby tonight belongs to us
Everything's right, do what you must
& inch by inch we get closer & closer
To every little part of each other ooh baby, yeah So

Let the music take your mind
Just release & you will find
You're gonna fly away
Glad you're going my way
I love it when we're cruisin' together
The music is played for love,
Cruisin' is made for love
I love it when we're cruisin' together

Cruise with me baby
Cruise

Baby let's cruise
Let's flow, let's glide
Ooooh let's open up, & go inside
& if you want it you got it forever
I can just stay there inside you
& love you baby,

Let the music, take your mind
Just release & you will find
You're gonna fly (away)
Yeah, I'm glad you're going my way
I love it, when we're cruisin together
The music is played for love,
Cruisin' is made for (love)
I love it, I love it, I love it
You're gonna fly away
Yeah, glad you're going my way
I love it when we're cruisin' together
(The music is played for love)
It's love music
(Cruisin' is made for love)

13. The music choices that some men have made for me
is proof that some drugs are bad.
At least I had drugs as an excuse. I knew a girl who chose New Kids on the Block-now that's just wrong (my neighbor. I had to listen to it every night).

6. Ooh, Ten Years After
There's a retro CD I need. I loove "I Want to Change the World." Alvin Lee rocked.

Also Traffic. Low Spark of High Heeled Boys.

I guess those weren't really Top 40 though. I was more of a non-Top 40 type.

12. AAAAaaarrrgggghghghghgg
I thought I had killed those brain cells...

I began buying 45's in about '73 or so from the top 40 list of WCFL AM Radio in Chicago at a place called Buffalo Bobs Music in Niles, IL. Next door or somewhere nearby was a place, I think it was called Cat Ballou, which I used to wander into and think what a cool place. Didn't know it was called a "head shop" but that's what it was. Back room full of black light posters, lots of beads, lava lamps, candles, insence, etc.

Then in about 1980 I discovered Indy and Punk and everything changed.
