Did any one else eat a donut called a "cream stick"?
Talk of donuts made me remember. In the college cafeteria, I referred to my donut that I had selected as a "cream stick". My friends were puzzled. They had never heard it referred to that. They called it a white cream filled long john. Does anyone else call it a cream stick? If so, where are you from or where did you get it? I am wondering if it was a local thing or even particuliar to that local donut shop that I went to as a child.
It was his favorite food. He'd eat them late at night when he got the muchines or really excited. Cream sticks will give you an odd feeling after you are done.
I usually only ate one at a time, two at the most, but I really liked them. I was primarily wondering if anyone else called them that and where they were called that.
I have no idea what a cream stick is by any other name, but then I never bought one. So I'd have no frame of reference on the purchase. They could be called cream delights for all I know. The man I knew was crazy for cream and he called them cream sticks.
That's due to the fact that they're covered with chocolate frosting and filled with white cream, looking like the strip of a skunk. It's so full of sugar I can't eat them very often.
