1. Bathtub
but it's a two person job. Hubby and I have specific duties: he wets and I lather. He brushes and I clip nails.

Our girls (siberian husky and chow) are pretty good taking baths. My chow is actually cute: with all the wet fur she looks like a completely different breed.

3. I never wash my dogs, but here is how you wash the Cat
Posted By Ohiosmith
1. Open a door to the outside.

2. Thoroughly clean the toilet.

3. Pour 1/4 cup of detergent in the toilet water and lift both lids.

4. Obtain the cat and soothe it as you approach the bathroom.

5. In one smooth movement place the cat in the toilet quickly closing both seat and lid. Stand on the lid to prevent the cat from escaping.

CAUTION: Do not get any of your body parts close to the seat or lid edges as the cat will be searching for any openings.

The cat will self-agitate creating enough suds for a thorough cleansing. Ignore the noises the cat makes, it is enjoying the experience.

6. Flush the toilet several times. This provides a power wash and a very effective rinse.

7. Ensure that there are no obstructions - especially people - between the toilet and the door opened to the outside.

8. Stand as far behind the toilet as you can and quickly lift the lid and seat.

9. The now-clean cat will rocket out of the toilet racing outside to dry.

Sincerely,

The Dog

4. when our dachsies (5) were small, I would hold then two in a hand
and put their hinders under the faucet when they did a no-no. Now I take them to the groomer because they are too big for the sink and they need their toes cut. Your puppy is adorable and so is the weather at your place.

7. not my picture, there's a muddy mess here in WI
I have to use a plastic container to dump water over my dog, suds him up with herbal essence, rinse him off and dry him off with at least 2 towells. He usually stays damp for 8-10 hours and hates the blow dryer so I pretty much skip it all winter... and he is starting to smell a little funky!

9. You have five dachshunds! That's great!!
We have one (and a beagle) but I looove them (dachshunds). I've had a dachshund as a pet ever since I was 7 y.o. The current one:

Are yours smooth, long hair or wires?

I've always had smooths since they're so easy to groom. Our guys get baths in the laundry tub and they don't like it but they tolerate it fairly well. (No moaning or whining.)

6. Dog-o-mat
we've gone to the dog-o-mat a couple of times. Very handy, elevated tubs with shower-nozzle hoses. Grooming tables and dryers in the other room. Cost was pretty reasonable too!

10. The bathtub
Though Sheeba hates it. Which is problematic with a 115 lbs dog. But she stinks, so it's very necessary.
