Canada Bows to US Demands to Beef up Coastal Defenses . . . .

Breaking: . . .

March 07 6:45am 2005
OTTAWA

Due to increased criticism and pressure from the White House and the Department of Defense, Canada has revealed it's newest development in Improved Defense Capabilities.

/snip/

Years in the development process, and highly secret, the new Parliament decided to reveal the new equipment to allay any fears that the US Administration might have regarding inadequate defense of Canada's Coastal Waters.

A Canadian official, requesting anonymity, suggested Ottawa released this info to offset criticism of Canada's recent refusal to sign on to President Bush's sought-after Missile Defense Program.

In a rare disclosure, this reporter was allowed to photograph one of the 300 new Stealth Coastal Arms Machines, affectionately referred to as the SCAM.

2. Yow...............
that .50 would shake the dinghy apart in no time. Tell the Canadian Coast Guard they might want to lighten up on the firepower a little. Other than that, I'm glad to see that you Socialists have finally bowed to King George's wishes, though on a much smaller scale than was requested.

Did you do the photo-shop yourself? Great job, if you did. Canadians, even in their looniest moment, wouldn't dream of something like this. OUR Defense Department however, would seriously consider this as a viable alternative. That's what scares me.

are you??

You DO realize that the "Loonie" is our local slang for our one-dollar coin?

It's given that name because of the image of the Loon on one side, a special bird to us Canuks

anyhoo - no offense taken,

we Canuks LIKE being a wee bit "different"

and re the PhotoShopping?

All I did was crop the picture from one I found ages ago,

then slipped on the Canada Emblem/Logo on the bow of the "ship"

(ps - don't need reverse - that 50mm will push it alot faster than the motor will!!) :silly:
