A music question
I was flipping through channels and caught the tail end of Cold Case. The song playing was an acoustic version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow by a mail singer. It probably came out in the early 1990's. I love the song, who did it and where can I find it?

But Michael McCloud did a version in the 90's that was fantastic.
Just looked it up, it is on his "Ain't Life Grand" CD.

3. maybe Mike Harrison
He did it on his solo LP, Rainbow Rider (1975), which I think saw re-issue int he 90's - though I can't swear to it. Mike was a member of Spooky Tooth, and I think I recall reading years ago, a more famous Harrison's brother.

6. Was it a mail singer or a singing telegram?
Haven't heard too much mail singing lately. However, I do love the way Ambrosia sings the news on Air America Radio.

8. It's also in "50 First Dates" and some other film.
Don't remember who, but if you look up 50 First Dates on Amazon or something, you should find it. If it's the version I'm thinking of, he also mixes...."What a Wonderful World" in too?

Very cool...but I'm a lyrics purist and it drives me up the wall when he goes...don't remember. But overall, it's a very melancholy, lovely version.

11. The artist is a postal employee AND a singer?
Sorry. Someone had to say it.
