iPod users: Heads up
I had all my iPod songs loaded on my laptop, which is slowly falling apart. I got a desktop several months ago, but could never get the music on the iPod to load onto my PC. Actually, the process erased my goddam iPod and I had to reload everything from the laptop.

But my friend told me last night about 'ipodrip,' a program you can dowload which will take everything from your iPod and upload it to the computer. Google ipodrip and you'll get a bunch of downloads, some free and some for a few bucks. Be sure to search under 'ipodrip windows' if you have a PC; the Apple download doesn't work.

Forgive my technical unhipness if this is common knowledge among the iPod intelligencia. I just heard about it, and have been loading new stuff onto mine for three hours now. Doing it on the busted-ass laptop was a pain. Yes, I am Jack's wasted life. ;)

4. I don't use those things, BUT thanks for the link.
Seriously. I know that with the ipod, there are some restrictions. And one wwrong move would cost the consumer that much more money to replenish their rightfully owned collection.

(I was tempted until I'd read an article about ipod battery life and how deplorably cheap Apple is in terms of limited battery life and disposal of the devices... nasty for the environment.)
