Stopped being aware of it.

Rap sessions gave way to rap. (Dialog to monologue.)

Encounter sessions to interventions.

Ecology to "junk science".

As for the generation gap, I wonder--if it really exists in the same way as it once did. My parents and I don't seem to have a generation gap--they are Boomers, I'm Gen X. But we have a music in common (rock), and language in common (because of t.v., I think) and common values.
