4. Is this something they have to learn

by observing other male dogs? I always thought it was instinctive until I met this woman who was walking her Samoyed, and she said he never learned because he was rarely around other boy dogs, and so he just peed all over his white fur.

he did spend some time with an older male last week, but today was his first attempt at the leg lift.
