Picture of my driveway (sans house)
So, I bought some land, and this is my favorite picture of it. The level spot for the house is a bit past the end of the driveway (put in by the previous landowner) that you see winding away from you...Thanks DU for the thread which told me about photobucket...I just love this picture...

4. white pine and oak
There is a huge oak tree up the hill, rooted about 50ft from where the house will be. Thirty feet up is the first branch - perfect for a swing...

3. Pretty....
It reminds me of the wooded area where Cherry Lane House is in Pennsylvania. It is beautiful. I am glad that it belongs to someone who will value it and not cut down the trees to make room for a huge faux-colonial mc-mansion.

Take care of it:hi:

5. How did you know?
The house will be 1 1/2 stories, laying as low to the ground as possible. From the front it will look almost like 1 story.

6. I am an architecture nut...

I have an instinct for design. It looks like the perfect spot for what you are describing. When I was in school and other people were reading fan magazines, I was reading books about Neutra, Frank Lloyd Wright and Frank Ghery. In the fall, I am finally going to study Interior Design.

Enjoy your beautiful new home!
