My local University has a college repuke group that actually put out flyers that said:

there were some rapes on campus. But I would have pointed out that having fully funded universities means they have enough money for lights, and cops, and that a guy could take a gun from a girl pretty quick.

11. While I have heard this argued

The fact is that women who do kill attempted rapists often get prision sentences anyway. I was telling my husband about this a couple of years ago and stated "All women should be legally permitted to kill potential rapists." He reminded me that a few days before when he argued for gun owner's right "Saying that everyone who has a gun is a potential murderer is just like saying that every man is a potential rapist because he has a penis." I replied "All men are potential rapists." It's a good thing that I am not running for political office.
