Why is it OK for female "Big Stars" to do commercials in North America
but males "Big Stars" only do it overseas?

Deniro does an American Express commercial.
Brad Pitt did a Heineken commercial.

And need I mention a certain entertainment industry juggernaut by the name of Carrot Top?

I haven't seen them. I know they do them in Japan and Europe.

6. Yep. I've seen both....
The Deniro one I see all the time. The Pitt one I only saw once, but I did see it.

4. And when did it change from being the kiss of death for any star?
It used to signal a movie star's decline. They wouldn't be caught dead doing a commercial.

I always feel vaguely sorry for the no-names who would have gotten the gig if the stars weren't hogging the limelight and the $.
