15. Rev, you gotta try it.
Yellowtail (hamachi) is my favorite. The surprise of eating raw fish, is that it doesn't taste fishy. It's kind of sweet and nutty. (Like us!)

Most people who don't like fish have always had it overcooked.

And back at you!:hi:

Edited on Wed Mar-02-05 06:27 PM by IMModerate
Spent four days in Des Moines in January. Ate at Johnnie's twice. Not only the best steak, but incredible red sauce. And so much more. (Can you tell I was impressed?) BTW, I lived in NYC most of my life, so I know something about restaurants.

21. If you're in Western Washington by Seattle
there is a place in Edmonds on Aurora called Sushi Moto.

Try the tuna for a first, it is mild and tasty.

30. That should be good sushi country. I would guess
Vancouver also. I've never been in the Northwest.

I have a fondness for mackerel (saba) because it tastes like the ocean. Not the first thing for beginners though.

31. My introduction to Japanese cuisine
was in Anchorage, AK at a place called Tempura Kitchen. And in Washington, from Bellingham on down it's pretty easy to find good tempura, sushi, and sashimi.
