17. I had my first experience of GD last night...

I was flabbergasted that there were DUers (more than one) who actually SUPPORTED the vigilantes down on the border with Mexico. One of them asked, "what's wrong with Americans defending America?" and simply could not understand that if we let these vigilantes "defend us from the Mexicans" then the logical next steps would be for fundamentalist vigilantes to "defend America from the homosexuals" and white supremacist vigilantes to "defend America from the blacks" and KKK/skinhead/nazi vigilantes to "defend America from the Jews."

Sheesh.

Not to mention the "they killed Wellstone with a ray gun" nutbars.
