Cops finally just taser everyone in US - "Whew, that sure saved time"
Edited on Wed Mar-02-05 09:30 AM by Rabrrrrrr
said local cop representative before turning his taser on a lower-ranking patrolman. "I think we're teaching America a valuable lesson in obeying the law." He was then tasered by the Chief of Police.

What the fuck is it with all the tasering? It's like a *@&$%^@* carnival game.

1. I have a horrible confession...
The few times I have seen someone willingly allow themselves to be tazered (the show Jackass.....a cop demonstrating it's safety) or depicted fictionally in a commercial or movie, I found the sight rather amusing in a slapsticky type way.

Alas, The deaths that have come from this put a damper on my amusement.

2. I had an officer
tase me a few years ago. I was not in trouble; I worked for the department and the officer decided that he wanted to play with his new "toy". Of course, this is the same jackass that wanted to play with his baton when he was finally qualified and the same one who oc'd a couple of people in the dept because he thought that it was funny.
He no longer works there anymore (but neither do I).
Most departments want to get rid of the jokers who think that this type of behavior is funny. There are always a few bad apples who have no control of themselves and view the tasers as a joke. They're not and anyone who has been properly trained with them knows that. They also know when the time and the place to use them is. They are only necessary in a few situations and, if used properly, very rarely have any long lasting effects and can be localized to one person-the instigator (compared to OC-which, if the winds are up, can affect everyone in a certain area).

What's that?

"Odor of Cop"? :7 Sorry, you meantioned "winds", so I figure it has to be some sort of gas or chemical thing.

4. Most people call it
mace or pepper spray but the cops call it OC or OCB. They have a much more potent type and it really sucks. They sprayed me with it once (so that I would understand though I just dispatch. Most officers have been sprayed and tasered when they go through academy). It was in my eyes for hours after-even after I flushed them. I once saw a person have an asthma attack from it-it was one of the officers who threw the canister into a 100+ person fight.

7. Nasty shit.
I thought maybe it was tear gas.

Pepper spray would be worse, I think. At least, having first hand knowledge of getting tobasco sauce in my eye, I should think pepper spray would be worse than tear gas.

But I've never been tear gassed, so I really don't know.

Thanks for the explanation!

8. You might not be scheduled until this afternoon.
(p.s. - organic is wonderful; skim is water. Go for the whole milk! Or better yet, the half & half!)

9. YACHBLACHECCCCCCHHHHH
That is the sound of me heaving.

I love Hazelnut half and half in coffee, but whole???

Dear God. Please, I just got over my marathon dry heaving episode.

;-)

(I drank whole as a child, I was addicted. Then I realized in college I was drinking a half gallon every two days and if it weren't for walking five hundred fucking miles a day to get to my classes, I'd be as big as a house, so I gradually cut down to 2%, then 1%, then 1/2%, then I mixed that with skim, then went completely to skim. Took about a year. Can't go back to whole now, like drinking cream.)

"Earlier this month, Taser International -- the maker of Taser electro-shock weapons, announced that they will begin a major campaign to market a new model of the weapon to consumers."
