I love Connie Chung!
I think that Connie is the finest person in the whole damn news business. I loved her show on CNN, and I loved all the work she did for all three networks through the years!

Connie is a class act.

2. What's she doing now? I haven't seen her in a long time.
Her CNN show did not last long, I don't think.

5. seriously?
I used to watch her CNN show just because it was the most bizarre thing on television.

Between botox and surgery, she can't move her face, and her questions were just hysterical - they had NOTHING to do with what was previously said. It was like playing the old Eliza computer game.

7. that's part of the reason why I loved her show,
it was so bad it was hysterical!
But, she does have a gift for reading news very well. And, she's easy on the eyes.

6. She whored for the bushies and ridiculed the war protestors...
Edited on Tue Mar-01-05 10:02 PM by Kahuna
She called the freepers "pro-America." Class act my ass. :eyes:
During the war build up she hammered Dems. If any of them dared suggest that the boy king was lying she became very shrill..."Are you calling the president a LIAR,!!!!!" she would shriek. She was extremely obnoxious. I sent her a few of my classic nasty grams during that time. I was very happy when she was cancelled. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving, has-been, crone.

8. FAIR really took her to task for pushing Iraq war
In your broadcast on October 7 you showed substantial and impermissible bias in questioning Representative Mike Thompson (D.-Calif.)

Several of your questions implied that the Congressman, if he disagrees with President Bush's statements on Iraq's threat, is somehow disloyal or in error.

Surely you know that Bush's "evidence" and assessment of danger are questioned by most leaders in other countries, including America's allies in Europe. And they are disputed by the CIA, highly respected officials of former Republican administrations, and several
prominent Republicans in Congress.

Please, Ms. Chung, keep your biases to yourself, report the news objectively, and respect the right of patriotic Congresspeople to disagree with Bush on Iraq.

17. funny.
Actually, Maury is a republican. I remember reading at some sites with celebrity political donations, he gave to Bush.

I'm sure his wife, Connie, who is smarter, is a Democrat. Real journalists that seek to uncover injustice are liberal. Read this: http://www.mrc.org/cyberalerts/2002/cyb20020123_extra.asp#1

" -- Let’s clone Hillary. Chung discussing cloning on CBS’s Eye to Eye with Connie Chung, October 28, 1993: "If each person is unique, do we really want to make copies? And whom would we make copies of? It's horrifying to think of anyone having that kind of power. But since we're on the subject, here goes. Howard Stern? We think one is more than enough. Paul Newman? He's clone-able. Ross Perot? He seems to be everywhere as it is. Hillary Rodham Clinton? Mmm, yeah."

-- Mocking the philosophy of a capital gains tax cut. Chung anchoring the NBC Nightly News on February 18, 1989: "If you lower the tax rates for investors, everyone will prosper, or at least that's the philosophy that President Bush, and a lot of wealthy people espouse. This would be achieved in the form of lower capital gains taxes, and everyone would prosper, if it weren't for the fact that a lot of people believe it won't work."
