Once again, the storm does not live up to the hype.
Not in NYC anyway. It's just your basic winter snowstorm. Not a blizzard. Not a batterer. Just a straightforward blanketing of snow.

Did anyone anywhere else get battered? :eyes:

4. Poor Sniffa
The storm clouds were thicker, blacker and meaner over your poor head.

Local weathermen are using more and more adjectives in their long, long forecasts. I am beginning to think they are paid by the word. They are selling the sizzle not the storm.

6. Same in Philadelphia. We got less than last time. I do not understand
the hype. Unless the idea was to boost the local economy by getting folks to buy up the rest of the snow shovels & rock salt before spring.

10. The idea is to spend air time covering something easy
so they don't have to spend air time covering anything hard.

12. Weather forecasters hedge their bets these days
I think they give way more dire warnings than they really have to. It's because people are relieved when a storm is weaker than predicted, but if it's the other way around they get pissed off. So, predict lots of big storms and sometimes you'll be right, more often you'll be wrong, but that will make people happy.
