I'm so happy, so very happy
As of this afternoon, my car is paid off and credit cards too. I feel like I lost pounds and weight off my shoulders. It bothered me I had these bills since I am in my 60's, don't want my children to worry about those kind of things. Maybe now I can take a trip or two or three....

My next chore....how can I put this without being depressive, but taking care of everything for when I leave this world. Cremation etc.... so my children don't have to worry about anything.

6. It is a great feeling
You know I am on this privacy kick, but another kick I am on is
these banks and credit cards who are making a buck off of me.
No, they are not going to do this, I'll win.

3. Definitely take a trip!
My Dad is in his seventies. He is still very able to travel but has no inclination to go anywhere. I going to do some fishing in Mexico at the end of March. I practicly begged him to go. Money is not the problem.
He still refused.

GET OUT THERE AND SEE SOME OF THIS WORLD!! It can be wondrous and beatiful place if your willing to go to it!

4. I want to travel
Geez, I wish my dad was here, we had some problems, but we both loved fishing.

Try taking your dad fish in state.

11. It is a great feeling isn't it!
We paid off all our debts (other than the mortgage and we have almost 50% equity) a few years ago. My car has been paid off for years - it's a 97 Volvo with only 65K miles on it. Last year, we bought hubby a used BMW convertible and paid cash. I never want to be in debt again. I know we are lucky, we hope we can keep it up.

12. Well, I don't have the 50% in equity
but at least the debts are paid off. I don't have a lot of equity maybe 25% but I'll never have my mortgage paid off at my age unless I win the lottery. That doesn't bother me, just having my bills paid off is the important thing. I want to be debt free just in case something happens to me. I'm not a spring chick anymore.

13. Being debt free is a great start.
The 50% in equity is the result of a life change, we downsized and put about 30% down, the rest is due to a good real estate market. We just bought the house in 2001 and we're in our late 40s so we won't pay off the mortgage before we retire either (unless we win the lottery)
