If one thing good has come out of this whole Evangelical Christian movement it is the fact that MANY teenagers are now PROMOTING abstinence! THANK GOD!

If any of these kids had spoken this out loud when I was a kid a long with the other rhetoric the spout, they would have been beaten to a pulp and condemned as an outsider for their entire high-school existence! And I went to HS in a redneck, baptist, bible belt high school. At least for the years I am speaking of. Went to a normal metropolitan HS for the last two years. BOY WHAT THAT CULTURE SHOCK!

I was just telling my daughter that the kids in my high school had gun racks in unlocked cars full of loaded guns on campus at all times! No one thought that was in the least bit odd or unsafe. Unfortunately one of those kids decided to use a sawed off shotgun to break into the school one night because he was pissed at an administrator and the shotgun went off and killed him.

High School was a VERY different experience for those of us that grew up pre-internet, pre-AIDS! The only STD most of the kids had ever heard of was herpes and that was a terrible fate, but at least it didn't kill you,!
