I do not wish heat exhaustion on anyone, not even Chimpy
Ugh, Istill feel terrible. I was out on Tuesday doing yardwork. At about 5pm. I fell out. Real clammy feeling, not sweating, dizzy, severe cramps, my wife said all I did was thrash around in bed. Took yesterday off. So all in Du land. Drink water and take lots of breaks if you are out in the heat

1. I hope you feel better
but I wish heat exhaustion on Chimpy-not that he'd ever work enough to get it.

2. Been there...done that....
Nasty experience, no?
Had heat exhaustion once and it wasn't pretty. Not only that, I also
was redder than a Main Lobster.

3. A word of caution...
I had a full on heat stroke one summer in NC. The doctors told me that once you've had one your chances for another are increased. So be extra careful in the future. Avoid midday outside; wear a hat;drink lots of water- and don't over exert yourself. Take breaks between chores.

Hope you feel better quickly.

6. I did the same thing Tues.
I was cleaning up a shed that came down in a windstorm; the pressure's on to get it disassembled and loaded into the big dumpster this week, or I'll have to pay for another week.

I waited until 5:00, and went out with my son. Within 20 minutes, we were both gasping, sweating, shaking, and weak. Now I can put it down to middle-age soft condition for me, but he's 23 and in great shape. It was only 112 or so that day, and should have dropped considerably by 5 or 6; apparently, not that day.

If the heat would just go away long enought to get the job done without killing me. :grr:

Drinking gallons of water, moving slowly, resting in the shade between each load...why, oh why, do I live in the desert?
