2. I've only seen the first three.
Of them, I preferred Blackadder II - epecially Miranda Richardson's Queen Elizabeth. I'll get around to seeing Goes Forth. Since I have the DVD collection, there's no hurry.

3. Favorite line from the series:
Mr: You've really worked out your banter, haven't you?

Edmund: No, not really. This is a different thing. It's spontaneous and it's called `wit'.

9. Favorite line from IV
"In three years of warfare we advanced no further than a asthmatic ant with some heavy shopping"

and from III

"Baldrick...eternity with Biels Habub (SPELLING) and all his implements of death will be nothing compared to five minutes with me.... and this pencil"

I cant choose between III and IV as a favorite series.

4. III, solely because of "Black Adder's Christmas Carol"
A masterpiece if there ever was one. After Bush stealing a second term, Christmas viewing in the Eats_Beef household this year consisted of:

1). Black Adder's Christmas Carol

2). Bad(der) Santa

3). Elf

4). National Lampoon's Christmas Carol

5). Jack Frost (horror flick about a mutant killer snowman)

6. Required viewing at my house, too...
I've created several Black Adder fans by loaning out my creaky VHS version (note to self: buy the DVD).

10. Voted Blackadder II mostly for the last episode...
where Blackadder is kidnapped and tortured in charades. :)

Plus, much as it seems weird to say this publicly, I actually found Rowan quite attractive in Blackadder II. Very yummy back then.

11. he looks almost ..dare I say it...hot in that Elizabethan mode
doesn't he.

He is one of those men who definitely should have a beard, don't you think?

"A cunning plan that cannot fail" is a catch phrase in our house!

BAII is definitely my fave, but I also love BA I for its utter corruption of British History, and God love him Brian Blessed as the King!

OTOH, BAIII really reveals the chemistry between Rowan A and Hugh Laurie, which is superb not enough Stephen Fry though
