Well, I've Done It --- 100 Days Without A Cigarette

And I feel great! :D

Started in mid-November and although I gained 36 pounds (going from 175 to 211) I'm starting to lose the weight now that I've gotten used to not replacing my cigarettes with food.

Soon I'll be fit and trim and smoke-free.

Believe me, if I can do this, anyone can.


Not to sound preachy, but please quit if you've always thought about doing so. I'm living proof it can be done with a minimal amount of willpower - which is all I have, a minimal amount.

Assuming $4.50 a pack... that's $450.00 EXTRA that you didn't spend. Unless you religiously set aside your savings, the money you didn't spend probably found its way back into the general day-to-day budget... but STILL! That's a LOT of money that you were able to enjoy on other things!

And if you actually set it aside and saved it for something special... then ALL THE BETTER!!

I didn't find it too hard at all (tho I too have gained back a little of the weight I'd lost -- but NOT because I'm doing a "can't smoke so I'll eat" trade-off, it's much trickier/sneakier than that. :grr: )
