Poll question: Just watched "50 First Dates" A Poll by Gender
Got in a mild argument of the merits and storyline of the movie with a friend. I need wider input...thanks in advance.

1. Really, really awful.
He was far too self-conscious, indulgent and charmless a subject for the good of his own film.

2. I LOVE DREW!!!
Drew Barrymore has been my lifelong crush. She turned 30 yesterday, Happy Birthday Drew.

I can't speak ill of one of her films. She was very funny and lovable in the role. I did not like Sandler in the lead role or Sean Astin as Doug.

I give the film a 6 out of ten, primarily because of Drew's playing a difficult role to be funny in and the great performances by Rob Schneider and Blake Clark. I also give Dan Aykroyd a thumbs up. He was classic as the doctor.

8. Drew's the best! The film was quite decent.
Anything that can make me laugh is decent in my book.

3. It was more serious than I'd thought it would be.
I liked it. At the end, it was a pretty deep movie.

7. I just can't buy Sandler as a "must-have" by the ladies...
A doofus, yes. Cassanova, no. That premise was less plausible than a walrus vomiting on cue.

11. Oh yes... in real life it makes sense...
In the movie, though, he doesn't appear wealthy. :)

14. Yeah, but Drew knew he was rich - otherwise she'd never kiss him

12. It makes me cry.
Predictable, not great, but cute and makes me cry. I'd give it a .

13. I really like both actors, but I said "sucked" cause...
I used to work with people with tramatic brain injury (TBI) and had a client just like her. It was so sad, and his life doesn't have the happy ending that the leading lady's does. We literally had the same conversations every day, and I could not teach him to learn anything new. He will never be able to work or live independently. So, the movie was too real for me....God, I hate motorcycles!
