I had an exceptionally long weekend. Emphasis on the word "exceptionally." Yesterday, I started reading Pol Pot by Philip Short, which arrived via UPS from Barnes & Noble. I was reading it until 1:30 a.m., transported to the 1950s in Paris and Phnom Penh. Now I'm back in this dump and people want things from. That should tell you something. I'd rather spend time with Pol Pot than my co-workers.
