2. I've Flunked Vehicle Inspections Because of Them
I tried an experiment once.

Back in NJ, they require all cars to be inspected once a year. And back when you had to go through a state-run inspection station, the inspectors were notorious rednecks. I brought my car through inspection in 1970 with a peace sign sticker on the back window. I failed for obstructed vision. So as an experiment, I scraped off the peace sign and replaced it with a larger American flag - I passed.

3. Only in Vegas and only when going to a Grateful Dead show :)
They actually used to use Dead stickers as probable cause in Nevada (with their old draconian a seed of marijuana is a felony but you can buy sex legally policies . . . did that ever change?).

16. They still look for the dead stickers....
I hear ya... I was pulled over a few times for my a big SYF sticker on my car in the 80s. Cops still look for them, I have no doubt.

4. Not yet....
But I only put them on about a month ago. And my car still has its California plates, even though I'm back in Massachusetts after 15 years.

They aren't so much political as anti-fundi--one is the Darwin sticker, and the other says, "God protect me from your followers."

I have my Kerry sticker, and I have a sticker that I've been trying to find that says "If you aren't appalled by now, you haven't been paying attention." Once I get to it, they will go on as well.

5. Some asshole ripped off my "He is NOT my president!!" sticker.
I ripped off all my bumper stickers when *'s approval rating started to tank. I figured that most other folks in Minnesota got the clue.

7. Not by the cops...
...but I get plenty of grief from other motorists about my stickers. The usual freeper intimidation method is to come roaring up on my rear bumper, back off, then roar up again. After a few rounds of this, they usually pass me, roll down their window and yell some moronic ephithet at me, then zoom off in a cloud of oil smoke & dust.

Yeah, that's really brave of 'em; trying to intimidate me from the safe confines of their 4000-5000 lbs hunk of metal..I'll bet most of 'em wouldn't even have the guts to confront me person-to-person. I think it would surprise them to see how much of me would come unfolding out from the driver's door of my little Neon.

Morans.

9. I'm suprised
That their clever use of vehicle intimidation peppered with
profanity does not convince you to start voting Republican.

I know that would open my eyes!

15. Flip 'em the bird as they go by.
Then when they get pissed and get out of their vehicle and approach your car menacingly at the next traffic light, pull your gun out of the glovebox, and cap 'em in the head.

One freeper out of the world!

And, in Texas, you have a get-out-of-jail-free card with this strategy. You can legally shoot and kill somebody who approaches your vehicle menacingly in self-defence. They don't even have to produce a weapon.

I would suggest you have witnesses, though.

8. Nope
I have a feeling all my Constitutional Bumper Stickers
might keep them from pulling me over . I also keep my rights
handy at all times both at home and on the road .

11. Yes, I was stopped by police......
This was in N.C. about 1981 or 1982. My car (which I just parted with 8 months ago) had several pro-Equal Rights Amendment stickers and one that said, "Oink if you love Jesse" (Sen. Helms). Think there was a pro-choice one on there as well. Anyway, I was either coming home from or going to a NOW meeting and an officer pulled me over. I remember him asking about the bumper stickers, but can't recall the conversation. I was kind of defiant and asked him why he had stopped me. His excuse was that I had drifted over the right-hand edge of the road stripe! Yeah, when a large semi came towards me, taking about 6-inches of my lane!! He didn't write up anything, but I was stopped because of my bumper stickers.

13. Yep
Sure, I was speeding, but so were the two cars that were ahead of me and the 3 cars that were behind me. I was singled out because I had an anti-war sticker on my car. (Not to mention a "George W. Bush for Ex-President 2004")

14. Yes
I was singled out for speeding because of a Grateful Dead sticker on my car. I was speeding, but was going no faster than the cars in front of and behind me. I was on my way to a (work related) meeting with some lawyers and was all dressed up in a suit etc. When it became obvious I didn't have a bong in my car or a bale of marijunan in the back seat the cop (a State trooper) let me go with a warning.

17. Never
and at times, I've had some fairly controversial ones on my car. Right now, all I have is my Darwin fishie and my Human Rights Campaign equal sign...nobody bothers me, although the fundie fruitbats in their cars plastered with Jesus junk always look as if they've sucked a lemon when they drive past.

I've gotten speeding tickets exactly twice in 25 years, and those are the only times I've ever been pulled over.
