About Schwarzenegger being "Not so bad" because he's pro choice, pro gay,
blah blah blah...

Weren't both Reagan and Bush I moderate to somewhat liberal before they were converted into conservative monstrosities?

2. Don't know about Bush
But I lived through Reagan. He was already a conservative idiot by the time he was governor.

I must admit, though, as one of the "Ahnuld isn't so bad" types, I found myself sick to my stomach watching him gloat on TV.

I still say he's going to be a colossal failure, though, because the state government isn't responsible for the mess. W* is. Until W* is out, nothing anyone does in CA is going to make a d*mned bit if difference.

4. Reagan was always neocon
as far as I know. But Bush I was a moderate, "country-club" republican, just like Arnold. In fact, when he was on Capitol Hill he pushed so much for family-planning issues, Bush Sr got the nickname "rubbers." Ironic, that.

6. No, Bush 41 was head of the CIA, Reagan was a die-hard McCarthyite.
Not very liberal if you ask me. Not even "Somewhat" liberal!

Arnuld's reign will be striated with desperate failure. The next four years will be remembered by Californians for their unpleasantness. Expect another recall.

7. What's to stop Arnold
from "seeing the light" and abandoning his "liberal" social beliefs? In fact, I expect it to happen any day now. I don't trust him, and I ESPECIALLY don't trust his backers.

13. Pete Wilson was supposedly pro-gay
But when he saw the Repukes against him on that, he turned quick enough.

Ah-nuld sucks because he was party to an election sham, where the Repukes subverted the democratic process--once again!

16. The argument should be not that Arnold is "not bad"...
But that he is not a good thing for Republicans.
