How do you rate last night's coming out episode of "The Simpsons"
I thought it was pretty good. I wasn't much surprised by who it was. Had it been Smithers though would have been a cop-out.

1. Who was it, I missed it?
Karl, Lenny, or Moe perhaps?

6. Patty - spoilers inside
She was to marry a female pro-golfer. However, Marge was upset about the whole thing, and discovered that the golfer was actually a man disquising himself as a woman.

Patty, however, is still a lesbian.

11. There were some implications about Lenny and Karl, though.
Homer was looking to drum up more business for his same-sex marriage chapel.

Bart: "All you can do now is wait for more guys to turn."
Homer: "Hmmm....where's Lenny and Karl?"
Marge: "Don't you push them! They've got to work that out for themselves."

:)

2. No big surprise in the coming out part
It was Homer Simpson that made the episode like always.

3. Fairly boring and tame
I still wish they would have had Ned come out.

4. It was OK
It seems to be losing some of it's comedic qualities, or maybe I am just getting older. They had some funny lines, but I was a bit let down. Scale of 1-10 I give it a 6.

5. In your face, red states!
Homo, er, Homer Simpson is used to attack religion and now gay bashers!

Let's see if it gets yanked off like that guy's wiener in the other thread.

8. Awful
It was sooo boring, I'd heard the simpsons were getting stale, but that was a real snoozer

9. The part where Homer fantasized about marrying himself was funny
Including the, "Ooh, you handsome devil, just imagine what beautiful children we'd have!"

10. I liked the ending
where the female-man asked Patty to marry him anyway, and she said, "no way, I like girls!" It kinda drew a line in the sand saying that there was something non-choice oriented about orientation, if that makes any sense.
