was from bartender from New York who was working in a bar in Birmingham, AL. I thought he was pulling my leg.

10. too late to edit spelling

Jeffrey has only 2 pronunciations, Jeff and jeffrey, whether spelled with a g or a j, where James has James, Jim and Jimmy so it is more confusing.
