Poll question: Who should never have recorded a solo album?
My pick? McCartney. Who do you think?

2. Eric Clapton
don't even know what band he was in originally. I just find his music incredibly annoying. And I feel like causing a commotion

Highly underrated, in my opinion.

1. Motherless Children
2. Give Me Strength
3. Willie And The Hand Jive
4. Get Ready
5. I Shot The Sheriff
6. I Can't Hold Out
7. Please Be With Me
8. Let It Grow
9. Steady Rollin' Man
10. Mainline Florida

Some of his most soulfull stuff, right after kicking heroin.

8. Originally he was in the Yardbirds
And anything he did with Cream or Derek and the Dominoes was great, but after that it did begin a long slide downhill. About the only thing I heard from Clapton in the last 20 years that interested me was his blues albums.

5. How can you have Ringo on there???
His solo album "Ringo" is awesome! All 4 Beatles play on it, plus Jim Keltner and a couple of guys from The Band. He does Lennon, McCartney and Harrison songs, in addition to a Randy Newman number. His rendition of Lennon's "I Am the Greatest" is fantastic!

9. Whoever voted Ringo is just wrong...
Ringo is so delightful. Paul is just a bad bad man. He should put some of his billion dollars where his mouth is.
