OK, it's 11:00...I took my Valium...
And I don't feel one darn bit different. I think tomorrow is going to be an interesting day at the dentist...

1. It takes 30 to 40 minutes for most meds to kick in.
Sending good thoughts your way.

3. Are your toes getting nice and warm yet?
That the first thing that happens to me when I take pills from the dentist.

7. After an hour and a half...
if you don't feel at least a little relaxed, call you rdentist, and see if you should up the dosage to 10mg, or try something else. The next thing he will probably tell you, iks to try two of the pills, or change the Rx to Xanax.

Also, avoid alcohol when using this stuff.

Hang in there, all will be well.

5. Call him and tell him
Ask him if you can double-up on the dose. Do you have someone to take you tomorrow?

8. Called the dentist...
The receptionist said that normally people who are not used to taking this kind of med have great results with the 5 mg. She said if I felt no different and no more relaxed I should take 2 before I come in tomorrow as long as someone was driving me.

I'm willing to bet that, come tomorrow, when they pull out the needles my adrenalin will overrule the drugs. <sigh>
