Last night I posted a link about a "conservative" punk site. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=1598781&mesg_id=1598781 Its just a goofy site for freeper juniors. But, in and odd coincidence I was out and about with the kids and saw a kid with this on his t-shirt. I live in freeper land and was very surprised. I told him I liked his t-shirt and asked where he got it. He told me about this punk band "NOFX". http://www.nofxofficialwebsite.com/ I downloaded a couple of free songs and really like them. Give a listen to both. This is what a punk band should sound like and be about. Now if I can just find the album.

4. NoFx is great!

I love those guys! I am an old-school punk and I remember when I first heard their song Franco-Unamerican on college radio two years ago or so. I was so intrigued because in my preccupation with work and parenting I had lost track of political punk. And their songs are great, in your face, funny, wild, political, etc. That's a great album and you can find it in Best Buy of all places. I would love to see them sometime. They were great on Conan O'Brian in the summer. And they aren't youngsters.. they started in 1984 or so and have a great website and record company. I have bought a lot of their albums and I love all their stuff.

2. Black Flag and Circle Jerks over here

Don't forget Youth Brigade, either. Anyone looking for a good left-wing 80's-era punk band should give a listen to Youth Brigade. They pull off good live concerts, too.

3. NOFX has been around for awhile

I have 8 of their albums. They're pretty good, I like them.
