What surprises most people about you?
Some people know that I tried Marijuana and were oh so surprised, damnit you advocate for every liberal policy in the book including legalizing it and not criticizing it.

2. Too many think that since I am generally kind & patient I am gonna
let them get away with shit. When they take a run at my sunny disposition and crash into what my daughter calls 'the blond wall' it shocks and awes! Those slow learners who try it twice, perhaps thinking there had been an error really get surprised. ;)

I'm a woman in my 30's with children and an IQ up the wazoo, yet people generally think I'm in my mid-20's and dough-brain based upon superficialities alone. I'm fairly reserved, but people have often liked to label that as well as "bitch". Whatever. :eyes:

47. Close, but no.
An ichthyologist is a fish biologist. They study fish tthemselves-physiology, taxonomy, etc. A fishery biologist studies fish populations and their environment.
It's kind of like the difference between a psychologist and a sociologist.

45. I'm not sure anymore...
I haven't socialized a whole lot since becoming a mom.

I guess ever since the age of 12 people have always assumed that I am younger than I really am. I was mistaken for a 12 year old a few times as a senior in high school. For right now this is still a bad thing because I am only 25. I guess I kind of look like a a teenager because I don't wear makeup, I'm pretty slim, and I'm small chested. I would rather be seen as a woman in her mid-twenties, like I am, instead of a teenager. I used to work as a high school teacher, so it's particularly insulting to me when someone thinks I'm a teenager like my ex-students were(especially considering most of the kids at this high school I worked at behaved like they were raised by wolves ). However, I'm hoping I'll still have this problem when I get into my 30's and 40's. :)

I'm sure a lot of things other things about my life would be surprising to anyone who didn't really know me.

I also took over his nightly Miami radio show when he was arrested a few days before Christmas in December, 1971.

See his photo at:

His misfortune was my good fortune. I was heard by the programmers at WEEI in Boston, and they hired me for my own full-time radio show in May, 1972.

For some reason, people seem to look at me as a conservative guy. Certainly not in a political context, 60 seconds after you've met me, you know I'm a flaming liberal. But I dress and act conservatively for the most part. People are also shocked that I'm not as old as I look. I've had people think I was anywhere from 25 to 33 years old, only to be floored when I show them my driver's license. True story, whenever I'd hang out at a bar or a club with some friends before I turned 21, I never got carded for liquor. The day I turn 21, I go out with some friends for my birthday, order a beer, and the waitress asks for my ID. Figure that one out. :D
