Haig I guess lived around here in Northern Va in the 60's since my dad went to middle school with his son and namesake, Al Haig and my grandfather were two totally different guys, sigh its really a shame that I never met my grandfather and Haig is alive and well.

30. We lived in a town near his in NJ in the 80s
At Halloween, he and Pat would come to the door and give out pens with his name on. This was after you got by the security guards at the gate-house.
He had surprisingly small soft hands - I shook his hand because even though he was a dickwad, this was an ex-president and I felt honored. (flame away).

I'd spit on Shrub's hand if I ever met him.

I was an exchange student in high school. And it wasnt that extensive of a tour, just a minor stop on a tour of Berlin.

I probably would have not even remembered, but the next day all the newspapers were reporting how Hess had died, and all I could think was "didnt we just visit there yesterday?"

62. Rush Limbaugh.
He came in several times as a customer when I worked at Tower in New York in the mid-'90s. He's actually polite and somewhat quiet and shy in person. He always came in with his wife and his bodyguard and didn't go out of his way to draw attention to himself (well, at least not any more than he already would have anyway).

A friend of mine is sure he met Joel Rifkin, the infamous prostitute serial-killer in Long Island in the mid-'90s. They were both in a diner, and my friend told me Rifkin completely emitted this pathetic, sad-sack, creepy vibe. He recognized Rifkin as the same guy he saw in the diner after Rifkin was arrested.

63. Gerry Anguilo of the Boston mob. Howie Winter and Whitey Bulger too.
All were patrons of a restaurant I worked at during high school in 1971.
This great Italian eatery was not for from Rockingham Race Track and on the Salem NH/Methuen MA state line.

Every night during racing season, the large corner botth was reserved for "Francesca's friends"(Francesca was the owner). No matter how many people waited at the door to get in, no one could take this booth that was reserved for Gerry Anguilo, head of the Boston Italian mob, and his associates. Sommerville Irish thug Howie Winter and Whitey Bulger would also join the group periodically.
Now both Anguilo and Winter are doing hard time due to Whitey Bulger's informing to the FBI. The FBI handler, John Connely is also in jail because of Bulger who is still on the lam somewhere.

Say what you want about mob guys but they take care of the waitresses and even the kitchen staff throwing money around, even to me, the dishwasher.
