2. A French film
Edited on Wed Feb-16-05 02:23 AM by Radical Activist
A novelist spends time at a villa in France to write a murder mystery novel but finds the daughter of her publisher is unexpectedly there. They clash. It is interesting and subtle with a intriguing ending. The young female lead is perhaps the most attractive French woman since Bridget Bardot. It is somewhat graphic.

4. Our reason to watch Swimming Pool
Besides being a great movie...It was filmed in Bonnieux in the Luberon valley of Provence...Love the town...We did a bike tour from Bonnieux. The valley is scented with grapes and lavender. Want to retire to paradise and can afford it.Check out the Luberon Valley. Takes bucks however...This part of Provence ain't cheap...Go atop Mt. Ventoux try the lavender ice cream...

6. While biking up Mt. Ventoux
Edited on Thu Feb-17-05 03:36 AM by cyclezealot
The lavender was being harvested. The fields in full bloom..THink that was like June...Please go when the lavender is in bloom...We recall a restaurant near Cavillon...the west end of the valley...Called like 'lavandre.' Lavender chicken, lavender everything...We brought back Lavender syrup, lavender liquor, lavender candy...we have not been the same since...Lavender bath gel.We are just full of lavender...
Other interesting sights...Menerbes there is a corkscrew museum, Albert Camus is buried in Lourmarin, the ruins (being restored)of the chateau owned by the Marquis de Saude is in nearby LaMont. In nearby Vaugines the film Manion of the Spring was filmed. Near Cavillon is a lavender museum...Other nearby gems..Vaison la Romaine , a town of roman antiquities...Gorde..a series of hill top towns..And Mt. Ventoux itself..
This might be our favorite part of France..and if you might be interesed into getting into cycling..This is the place..The Luberon Bike trail..Serenity and scenery.

I haven't biked often for a few years, but I would start again for an experience like this.
