Woman Drunk on Listerine Sentenced
http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2005/02/15/national/a102517S91.DTL

A woman who pleaded guilty to driving while drunk on three glasses of Listerine was sentenced Tuesday to two years of probation.

Officials suspected Carol Ries, 50, was intoxicated after she rear-ended another vehicle at a red light in January. Police found a bottle of the mouthwash in her car.

She passed one breath test, but failed another that used different equipment. Her blood alcohol level was .30 percent, more than three times the legal limit.

According to Listerine manufacturer Pfizer Inc.'s Web site, original formula Listerine contains 26.9 percent alcohol, more than four times that of many malt liquors, while other varieties contain 21.6 percent alcohol.

Remember kids, drink only one glass of Listerine every hour if you're driving.

6. that is really sad....
My ex was an alcoholic. Booze wrecked her life. Years ago, before she and I met, I lived in South Carolina and was friends with a family that ran a small country store-- a genuine "mom and pop--" and they had a number of customers who would come in on Sundays when liquer sales were off and buy mouth wash, vanilla extract, etc. We always joked about it, you know-- the regular customers who would buy a box of nightcrawlers, a liter of Coke, and two of the big bottles of vanilla extract, always on Sunday afternoon.

8. Ocean...
Here's a sad situation...

There was a story in our paper about guys on the Navajo Reservation that shoot Aquanet hair spray into water to extract the alcohol. They call it "ocean". It's cheaper and gets you shittier than a small bottle of vodka.

It also supposedly dehydrates you substantially more than regular alcohol.

10. Move to the US Virgin Islands
This lady I knew wasn't feeling so well
so she asked me to go to the corner store and get her something.
She gave me a dollar.
Darn if I didn't come back with hip flask of 100 proof.
And change.
