1. not me-- just the opposite....
I'm from Georgia, live in Northern California, and work in an utterly liberal academic setting in one of the most unabashedly liberal towns in the known universe. I have peace and corporate nation flags in my office window and antiwar posters on my door, along with a prominent DU bumper sticker. People regularly stop by to compliment the flags and antiwar placards in the window. I know that some republicans likely live in my neighborhood, but I do not believe that I actually know any republicans, and I know lots of people.

3. That would be ME!
:hi: Born in IL, living in IN, and yes, it is HELL!

It never bothered me until after the 2000 election. That is when repukes got all high and mighty and full of themselves. It was as if all of a sudden, if you were Democrat, you were a stupid idiot. What are they drinking? If I didn't know what the consequences would be, I would want some of that. I think it is called Denial Gin Fizz.

4. Nope, blue through and through
and the only other states I've lived in were Blue too.

I do feel bad for you guys, but there are Republicans up here too. They're just not as vocal.

10. Not anymore, thankfully!
For 18 months in 1995-97, I lived first in Nevada, and then in Florida. In the spring of '97, I returned to my native (and decidedly liberal) Connecticut, where I plan to stay, the weather be damned!
