I can't drink coffee on an empty stomach, it makes me feel sick. I try to stay away from it in general.

2. No but I used to feel a funny kind of burn sensation in my chest...
Even drinking a half a cup of decaf, so I'm a tea drinker now...

usually after the third cup, sometimes after the 2nd. coffee is a stimulant and diuretic.

4. My first Americana at Starbucks did
It was like Russian Rocket Fuel running through my system, with the resulting slag to prove it - but I had no problems with subsequent ones :D

7. I agree about Starbucks
It's just bad, and certainly not worth anywhere near $3.50 a cup. I drink fresh ground home brew 99% of the time and it treats my sensitive stomach just fine. 2 full mugs a day with cream and a little sugar.

Or on an empty stomach, or really strong. All far far worse if I drink instant 'coffee' (which is very rare).

Especially on an empty stomach. That's why I tend to drink a lot more tea. One of my friends doesn't drink it at all because I think one cup will empty him out.

14. No offense.. But how can you have indigestion
on an empty stomach? Digestion requires food.

I don't drink the swill. all of the coffee i've consumed in my entire life wouldn't fill an espresso cup. i can't get past that nasty smell.

19. Wow, you're the first person I've known that didn't even like the smell
Although, my ex-GF used to live next to a Folgers plant and I got really sick of the smell after awhile. I still like it though.
