Bands named after people
The "bands named after movies" thread inspired me.

What are some bands named after people, real or fictional?

I'll start with a few off the top of my head:

Lynyrd Skynyrd: named after their high school gym teacher, who liked to give the long-haired guys in his classes a hard time.

Uriah Heep: named after a villain in a Charles Dickens novel.

Jethro Tull: named after the inventor of the seed drill.

Sadie Hawkins was a fictional character in the L'il Abner cartoon strip. She was the homeliest girl in area and grew tired of waiting for guys to ask her out, so asked them out.
